For this event, extending or re-signing with the team the player was on at issuance does not, by itself, trigger early resolution, including re-signing after a period of restricted or unrestricted free agency. The amendment's provision treating such a free-agent signing as a resolution-triggering transaction does not apply. Any existing event-specific rules for remaining with a team at the stated deadline, retirement, or having no team continue to apply. Qualifying two-way contracts remain covered by the original terms.
