BN, PH and PN: A coalition's seats are the seats won by candidates standing under its name or logo, or under the name or logo of one of its member parties, as recorded in the official results of the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR). An electoral pact, seat-sharing arrangement or post-election governing arrangement between coalitions does not combine their seats.

For parliamentary/legislative elections, the winner is the party, coalition, or alliance winning the most seats in the specified chamber. If two parties have the same number of seats, the one with the higher share of the vote will resolve to Yes and all others to No.

The chamber is the 28-seat Malacca State Legislative Assembly; seats are those declared by the SPR, including uncontested seats. A coalition's share of the vote is the valid votes cast for its candidates in all constituencies as a share of all valid votes cast, per the SPR.
