For purposes of this market, only the Knesset's election of a Speaker in a vote qualifies. The first election for Speaker of the Knesset after the Oct 27, 2026 Knesset election is the first vote in which the Knesset elected on Oct 27, 2026 elects a Speaker, including an interim or temporary Speaker or the re-election of the outgoing Speaker; a later replacement does not change the outcome.

The outgoing Speaker continuing without such a vote, a Deputy Speaker, and a member presiding or acting as Speaker do not count. Neither does a request or letter asking for a Speaker vote, or the announcement or scheduling of a vote.
