Mejia vs Hernandez

This market covers the qualifying round clash between Colombian Nicolas Mejía and Mexican Alex Hernandez at the 2026 Los Cabos Open, a hardcourt ATP 250 tournament taking place in Los Cabos, Mexico from July 27 through August 1. Mejía enters as the top seed in the qualifying draw, while Hernandez is his unseeded opponent. A "Yes" resolution on Kalshi requires Mejía to win; on Polymarket, the binary choice is simply between the two players advancing. Despite Mejía's top seeding in qualifying, markets lean toward Hernandez. On Kalshi, Alex Hernandez is the consensus favourite at 62.0%, with Mejía at 41.0%. Polymarket prices Hernandez more aggressively at 68.0% and Mejía at just 32.0%, suggesting sharper bettors there have moved more decisively against the seeded Colombian. The cross-platform spread on the Hernandez outcome is 7.0 percentage points, and on the Mejía side it widens to 9.0 points — among the more notable divergences in this snapshot. Mejía holds a career high singles ranking of No. 150, though he did win the 2026 Banorte Tennis Open on clay earlier this year, suggesting some recent form. Kalshi holds the overwhelming bulk of volume at over $1.99 million versus Polymarket's $3,487, indicating institutional-scale positioning is driving Kalshi's slightly more cautious lean toward Hernandez. Across both platforms, Hernandez is clearly the favourite, though the 7–9 point spread between Kalshi and Polymarket flags meaningful disagreement on just how confident to be.
