Description from Kalshi. A cross-platform summary is generated once this event is matched across platforms.
Position Differential: -For this market, the position differential is the driver's official starting grid position minus their official final classified position, retaining the sign. Positive values indicate positions gained, negative values indicate positions lost, and zero indicates no change. Drivers are compared using this signed difference. Ties / Dead Heats: -If multiple eligible drivers tie for the greatest position differential, “Yes” positions on each tied driver pay $1/N, rounded down to the nearest cent, where N is the number of tied drivers. “No” positions pay $1 minus that “Yes” payout. Markets on all other drivers resolve No. -If NASCAR officially publishes a tie for a starting grid or final classification position, the published tied position is used for each affected driver, with subsequent positions following NASCAR's official numbering (e.g., 1, 2, 2, 4). Eligibility for Yes/No: Only drivers with both an official starting grid position and an official numeric final classification position are included in the comparison. -A driver who does not start the race (DNS) is excluded from the comparison, and the market on that driver resolves No. -A driver who does not finish (DNF) or is disqualified (DSQ) remains included if NASCAR assigns them a numeric final classification position; that position is used to calculate their differential. If no numeric final classification position is assigned, the driver is excluded and the market on that driver resolves No. -If NASCAR does not hold on-track qualifying and sets the starting lineup by another method, the officially published lineup is used. The absence of on-track qualifying alone does not cause a No resolution. Starting Grid and Final Classification: -Starting grid position is the official position assigned by NASCAR, including starting-position penalties applied before the race starts. -If a driver starts from pit road, their starting position is one position lower than the last regularly gridded driver, unless NASCAR publishes a specific numeric pit-road starting position for that driver, in which case that position is used. -If the race is resumed or restarted after a red flag, the original starting lineup is used, not the order used for the restart. -Final position is NASCAR's official final classification, including changes resulting from penalties or disqualifications that are finalized and published before expiration. Revisions published after expiration are not considered. -If official starting grid or final classification data is unavailable from the contract's Source Agencies by the expiration date and time, the market resolves No. Postponement / Cancellation / Shortened Races: -If the race is postponed and rescheduled to start within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time at the same track, the market remains open and resolves based on the rescheduled race. -If the race moves to a different track, is cancelled outright, or is rescheduled to start more than 48 hours after its originally scheduled start time, all contracts on the race resolve at the last fair price determined in the sole discretion of the Exchange. A move to a different track triggers this treatment regardless of timing. Cancellation of the entire race weekend also results in settlement at the last fair price determined in the sole discretion of the Exchange. -If the race is red-flagged, shortened, or otherwise called and is not restarted within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, NASCAR's official classification when the race is called determines finishing positions, provided the race became official under NASCAR rules. If the race is called before becoming official and is not completed, all contracts on the race resolve at the last fair price.
