Description from Kalshi. A cross-platform summary is generated once this event is matched across platforms.
For legislative elections, the winner is the party winning the most seats across the by-elections in scope. In scope: every Legislative Yuan by-election held in 2027 to fill a regional or indigenous seat vacated by a legislator who won office in Taiwan’s November 28, 2026 local elections. By-elections for any other vacancy are not in scope, and at-large seats are refilled from party lists, not by by-election. Seats are counted from the candidates declared elected by the Central Election Commission, for the party each is registered under with the Commission. Independents, including party-backed independents, count for no party. If two parties tie in seats, the one with the higher combined share of the votes cast in the by-elections in scope will resolve to YES and all others to NO If no by-election in scope is held in 2027, all markets resolve to NO This market is eligible for accelerated resolution by a consensus of media calls. See full rules for details.
