Tobon vs Tomic

This market covers the qualifying first-round clash between Miguel Tobon and Bernard Tomic at the 2026 Los Cabos Open, an ATP hard-court tournament taking place in Los Cabos, Mexico from 27 July through 1 August 2026. A "Yes" or "Miguel Tobon" resolution means Tobon advances through qualifying; a "Bernard Tomic" resolution means the Australian veteran moves on instead. Both Kalshi and Polymarket are listing the match, with Kalshi carrying the overwhelming share of action at over $1.26 million in volume against Polymarket's negligible liquidity. Markets firmly favour Tobon, who prices at 67.0% on Polymarket and 66.0% on Kalshi — a tight one-point spread on the favourite. Tomic, currently ranked around 195 on the ATP singles charts, sits at 36.0% on Kalshi but only 33.0% on Polymarket — a notably wider three-point gap that represents the most meaningful cross-platform divergence in this snapshot. Tomic, once as high as No. 17 in the world, has been working his way back through the lower rungs of the tour. Tobon's edge may partly reflect recent form: Tobon faced Gonzalez Fernandez at the ATP Challenger in Segovia in late July 2026, suggesting active match play heading into Los Cabos qualifying. Kalshi's liquidity of over $806,000 dwarfs Polymarket's $1,887, making Kalshi's 66.0%/36.0% split the more reliable price signal here. The cross-platform consensus clearly leans toward Tobon, though the three-point spread on Tomic's odds between platforms is worth noting for anyone comparing implied values across venues.
