If Chuck Schumer is reelected Senate Democratic leader for the 120th Congress by voice vote, acclamation or without objection before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. Election as Senate Democratic leader means election to lead the Senate Democratic Caucus for the 120th Congress, whether the post is styled Democratic Leader or Majority Leader. The count is 1 if the Source Agencies report that Chuck Schumer was elected by voice vote, by acclamation or without objection, and 0 otherwise, including if no such election is held before Jan 1, 2027. An election by unanimous consent counts as an election without objection. The following do NOT count: An election in which senators cast ballots, whether secret or recorded, even if the result is unanimous A ballot followed by a motion to make the result unanimous or to approve Chuck Schumer by acclamation A report that Chuck Schumer was elected unanimously, or without opposition, that does not say the election was by voice vote, acclamation, without objection or by unanimous consent A statement before the election about how it is expected to be held If Source Agencies disagree on the method, a report by any Source Agency that a ballot was cast governs.
