If a bill repealing or ending at least one of Donald Trump's tariffs, also passed by the House in identical form, has passed the Senate after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2028, then the market resolves to Yes. A qualifying bill is legislation that would repeal, terminate or nullify, in full, at least one tariff imposed by Donald Trump in either of his terms. A tariff is the duty set by one proclamation, executive order or trade-agency action, such as the Section 232 steel tariffs, the Section 301 forced-labor tariffs or the Section 338 tariffs on Canada. A joint resolution qualifies only if it ends such a tariff. Ending a tariff in full means for every product and country it covers: a bill ending all Section 338 tariffs on Canada qualifies, while a bill that only exempts certain products or countries, lowers a rate, delays or suspends a tariff, refunds duties already paid, or requires congressional approval of future tariffs does NOT qualify. The same measure must pass the full House and the full Senate in identical form after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2028, by any means, including voice vote, unanimous consent, suspension of the rules or a discharge petition, and the market resolves to Yes when the second chamber passes it. Passage includes agreeing to the other chamber's amendment or adopting a conference report. It may be any vehicle, including a larger package whose text as passed contains a qualifying repeal. Passage by only one chamber, committee approval, and a rule providing for consideration do NOT count. The market resolves regardless of any presidential signature, veto or veto override.
