If the United States has in effect tariffs of 50% on Canadian cars, trucks, automotive parts and steel after Issuance and before Jan 2, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity. Tariffs are in effect when a presidential proclamation, executive order or Federal Register notice is legally in force and being applied to imports. An announcement, including a social media post, and an order signed but not yet effective, do NOT count The tariff must be in force at 50% on ALL of cars, trucks, automotive parts and steel. A tariff in force on only some of those goods, or at a rate below 50%, resolves this market NO An effective date later than Jan 1, 2027 resolves this market NO, even if the instrument has issued If a court blocks the tariffs before they take effect, this market resolves NO
