If Shohei Ohtani is in the starting batting lineup for the Los Angeles D Pro Baseball team in the Milwaukee vs Los Angeles D professional baseball game originally scheduled for Oct 14, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. In order for the market to resolve Yes, Shohei Ohtani must be in the official starting batting order for Los Angeles D when the game begins, including as the designated hitter. Resolution is based on the official starting batting order recorded by the governing league. If Shohei Ohtani is announced in an earlier lineup but is replaced before the game begins, the market resolves to No. Entering the game later as a pinch hitter or other substitute does not qualify. Starting as a pitcher qualifies only if Shohei Ohtani is also in the official starting batting order. An actual plate appearance is not required.
